Day 18: Mesilla Valley Sunset

by Samuel D. Bradley on January 20, 2010

day018New Mexico’s economy lags behind much of the nation.

To live in New Mexico, it is said, one has to accept that a portion of his or her pay will come in rainbows and sunsets.

I felt well paid this day, and I’m glad that my parents called to alert me to this sunset, as I was inexplicably sitting with my back to the window surfing on this very laptop.

I was in such a rush, I did not record the exposure information. This shot is unedited beyond a slight crop to remove an ugly water tower at the South (left) side of the photo.

Sam all your photos from NM are making me seriously consider moving there. Not sure whether to thank you for that or not.

Either way, amazing shot!!

Simon: Isn’t the sky black and the ground red there?

Rob: It is such an awesome place. I will never be the same after having lived there, and I will never feel whole until I live there again.
