In a few hours walking around New Mexico, I can find more beauty than I traditionally see in an entire year.
That is, in part, due to when I choose to look for beauty.
This house is an old friend that I’ve been photographing since the mid 1990s. It started on a photo trip for a class. The house has changed a lot, and eventually I will scan an old shot for a before-and-after. But I loved the composition of this yucca and the chimney.

Very nice composition…cool shot
you are making me miss El Paso
I’m confused, are you taking classes back in NM?
(Nice composition by the way
)
Simon: That part of the world is beautiful.
Carm: These were all taken MLK weekend. Just too many pictures of a pretty place not to use. I first shot this house in Sterling’s class in 1995 or 1996.
